Bumpy Braking

Hey yall, got a quick question that maybe someone can shed some light on. I think its just really worn down tires cuz i really really need new ones, but around 55 it is a lil bumpy but nothing bad if i accelerate it goes away, and when i brake from a high speed....around 70ish, it is quite a bumpy ride, have to make sure i'm holding the steering wheel firmly. Also, i know i'm gonna need new brake pads sometime soon....anything else i should be leery of? 104k miles on car.....

I have an 06 with 109k so we are kinda in the same boat. I am in the process of replacing the front and rear pads and of course I had the rotors resurfaced, because of a bit of noise/vibration. Anyway when I took my rear wheels off I noticed that my right rear tire tread is cupped, my semi-trained mind tells me I need new shocks on the rear as I believe that they are still stock. So I would be leary of the shocks/struts. Good luck.

Have you had anyone qualified look at your car? Most brake places will check them out for free. It sounds like your rotors are warped.

If it is not the brakes have them check your wheels to make sure they are balanced correctly. Off-balance wheels might also cause some shaking at higher speeds and so would a bad alignment.

Been too tied up with work, just got on leave, so back home and prob hit brake place in next few days
