Has anyone thought about going BT on the 2G?
If you have please post the setup you have in mind..
Here's some questions I have:
-Trubo?
-PSI?
-IWG or EWG?
-If EWG: Will it be VTA or re-routed?
-Top mount or stock location?
-Pre-fab FMIC or DIY?
-Stock block or rebuilt?
-What tuning solution?
-What HP target?
-What type of racing will the setup be used for?

Begin!(gun)

Well..this was fail..nobody wants to go Big Turbo?!
I guess I understand that our cars are fairly new and still under warranty..
BUT there has to be someone that has put some thought into it(uhm)

Doc,

This is coming to mine just will be some time, my DD and as a young person, I am lost without transportation.

Ordering the ETS soon (PM to ETS concerning fit up) and CPE fuel pump next week. I will go ahead and install the pump as this has no effect. I have the DP and need a wide band to go with it. I am waiting on the AP, once this is out and I have one, bolting one weekend and tune the next.

The only issue I have with BT is at what HP will the stock internals give up the ghost. I would like to be above 300 at the wheel, I am hoping the bolt ons and tune will get in the ballpark.

this dude has been running 380whp on stock block for some time now on another forum. he's one of the few though, he has a damn good tune, on a gt 3076, ewg, 20psi, midieval mani i believe.

you should get 300 to the wheel with what you listed, full bolt ons and tune

Are you talking about Brian3076?..GT3076, CP-E Catless DP, COBB CatBack Exhaust, SteedSpeed Mani with Tial 38mm EWG, CP-E 4" Inlet, COBB SRI with AimsOil Filter, HKS BPV, COBB FMIC, PTP HPFP, HKS ignition amplifier, ITV22 sparkplugs, Devils Own Stage 2 Meth running DO5 with 70/30 mix, COBB AcessPort with AKUMA Motorsports Custom Tune...Dynoed 383 whp 374 wtq @ 20psi. He's got a great setup and most importantly a great tune. There's also another guy from that forum running COBB AP--ATP GT3076@21PSI--ACT STREET CLUTCH/FLYWHEEL--STOCK BLOCK-- D.O. PROGRESSIVE KIT DO3 100% METH--MEDIVAL MANIFOLD--TIAL 44MM DUMPING LOADS--MICKEY ET SKEETS and i think he's got a dyno scheduled for the 25th of this month so we'll see what numbers he puts down with that setup.

Z,

Speedy nailed it.. you should definetly be 300+ with full bolt ons and tune. Also, as far as what HP will the stock block hold, I think that will be determined by:
A) How healthy your engine is a the time you go BT
B) How well you tune for the setup..mainly keeping knock at bay

I would love to go big. But I have learned my lesson with going with BIG horsepower on my only vehicle. I would rather get a EK hatch and drop a BT on a K20/F20/H22 swap. Which would cost less than trying to build up this new car with new parts and no proven management for the set up.
