I still see people posing daily about how you need to alow your car to break in b/w 2000 and 20000 miles. they way that engines are built today are not like the ones in the 50's 60's 70's 80's and even 90's. there is virtually no break in period for engines. usually 250 miles are more than enough. In the old club i was in with all VW TDI's one of the members that lives by me chipped his car and doubled the output of his engine on day one when he bought it. he drove the car hard as hell from day one and he has had absolutely no problem with the engine or the car. he now has 238,000 miles on that engine. that is just a prime example of how there is no break in period for the new age engines. we need to get out of the 60's engine mentality.
Sorry if i sounded pissed off, i just wanted to put in my 2 cents.
