Broken Clip that Mounts in Square Hole on CX-5 Headlamp Assembly

I replaced the drivers side headlamp assembly and there was a clip that you were to take off the old unit and put on the new one, but I broke it trying to take if off the old unit.

It fits in a square hole in the molded plastic of the headlamp assembly and is a retainer clip for the bumper skin/grill.

I can't find and drawings or part numbers for it either as a part of the headlamp assembly parts or the bumper parts.

Things seem to be pretty secure without it, but I'd prefer to replace it.

Here are a couple screenshots of a picture of the headlamp assembly and a diagram of it that show the square opening, but not the clip.

Anyone have any idea what this part is called and the part number? There are actually two parts the outer clip and the part the fits in the square opening. It pushes in place and the outer clip attaches to it.

Odd that it would be two pieces. The only thing I can find that might fit there is this Google Search

Thanks, that looks like the part. First I broke the outer part then in looking at what was left in the headlamp housing it looked like there was another part coming through the back side to hold it on. I couldn't see it very well though. Seeing as it was broken at this point I didn't see any reason to try to dig that bit of it out. Trash collection day was the next day as well and the housing was cracked and unusable so I put it in the trash.

I notice the description on one of the Amazon listings states it is metal. It is grey so I guess it might seem like metal.

I also see the price for just one part is only a little over a dollar, but if I order online it will be a little over $10. There are a couple local dealers. They are way across town, but I do get out that way sometimes. I'll see if they have it. Maybe they will just put it in an envelope with just a stamp or two on it and not charge $10+ for shipping.

I watched a you tube video showing replacement and the guy didn't bother putting those back on

I was sort of wondering about that as well. I don't really know where it goes on the grill and maybe I have to mount it on the grill first then somehow line it up and press it in place, but I didn't break in until after I got the grill and bumper skin off, so it doesn't seem like I would have to do that, but don't really know where it attaches to the grill either.

. Just to the right of the headlight. I'm thinking that thing slides into a slot on the back of the clip.
