brand new si+16 year old = stupid parents

I got this from a local forum. Here's the story.

Thats what a 16 year old said to his mom on the phone:

"so big car show today for the car club. We decided to meet some friends up Stunt Rd, then cruise down to Malibu from there. Well, we get to the top of the rd(windy mountain roads mind you) and shoot the **** for a bit. We, this kid with his friend come up the hill in a brand new SI. He looks no older than 10. He was revving it up and taking off fast. I said to my buddy 'watch, i bet he doesnt make it down Stunt..' Well I was right"

And heres a quote from one of the guys who was there-

"my buddy mike was behind him, saw him try to cut inside, NEXT to the mountain in an apex to pass a land rover, he clipped the mountain, and rolled it

they were ok, a lil shaken up.
16 years old in a brand new car mommy and daddy bought. paper plates still on it

i heard him on the phone with his mom "yea mom...I hit a rock and it flipped my car"

i was saying in the background..."yea, a rock also known as a MOUNTAIN!"

Ha I heard about that. I think I was up there right after they cleaned everything up and heard about it from a friend. What I don't get is that its the easiest 8 miles ever and I have reached the top in 3 mins. What a dumbass.

on average, rich people pay less for loans/insurance cause of high credit scores

so this kids parents got him a brand new car, and insurance, ect and he crashes it.

My guess is that even after the car is fixed or totaled and the insurance rate is adjusted and he gets a new car (another si or whatever) they will still end up with less money into this whole situation than if a lower/middle class person or avg age (20s-30s) had done the same thing (crashed a new si)

Acutally I average 80mph at around 50-60mph a turn. The turns aren't that tight. One Evo did it in 2:37 but he was flying. My best time is 3:17. Of course this is done at night with no cars on the road. This kid obviously didn't know the road and didn't anticipate the turns. Also going downhill is a lot harder than up hill. My time down is like 4 mins. I wish I was behind this kid when it happened.
