Braking light

For 2007 mazda cx 9, do I need to get "red" or "white" light bulb for braking light on trunk door?

you can use clear (white bulbs) no need to buy red, the lens is already red.

for exact bulb number, see owner's manual, there's a plastic panel you need to remove and you need to twist off the old bulb, the old bulb should have a marking for the bulb type.

yeah see page 492,

it's just a dinky little low watt tiny bulb, any clear 194 bulb will work, can be bought at any AutoZone, Pep Boys, even ebay

it lights up as soon as you turn on parking lights , it doesn't light brighter when you hit the brakes.

2010-2012 CX-9'S don't even have these (the 194 bulb was completely removed, cost cutting ?)

2013+ have them (Mazda added them back)

just get these and you're good to go
