Forge Motorsports is coming out with a BOV for us soon. Looks like the easiest to install. no flange needed. comes with its own couplers (samco ones too) and replaces our bpv. That's my opinion anyway. Forge makes great products and they seem to be doing R&D specifically for our cars. Hope this helps

Yeah Forge would be the easiest. Their kit is supposed to completly replace the stock one and piping, so you don't need to buy or install any other parts.

I have a Greddy Type S. I bought an Aluminum hardpipe and had it welded together, then had an aluminum flange welded onto the piping, and the BOV fixed to the flange. It was very easy to install (taking off the stock piping was the hardest part), it looks nice, but was a little expensive. I paid about $365 for all the parts (including the valve) and $85 to have the pipe welded together.

And as said in several other threads, getting a BOV will cause some stalling issues. Your RPMs will drop very low when the car is placed in Neutral. Getting an HKS Squential valve will help this a little, and the Forge one is a two piston set up so supposedly it doesn't stall at all.

Do some searches in the MSP section and you'll find a ton of threads about it. And welcome to the board.

forge...it uses stock piping. But they are still waiting on the silicone connectors to be made.

Maybe its time to contact forge and see if they would do a group buy...since it seem lik there is alot of interest.

Is their a link where you can see this BOV for our cars? (boom04) I went to the Forge site and their was nothing on it.

Having trouble understanding the Forge BOV pic...what line is capped? And I don't see the pipe to the TB with that piece...I am sure I am just missing something in the photo, but anyone want to enlighten me?

Edit: I think I see that said pipe now, but I still dont understand that capped off piece, and how is that forge connecting to the stock pipes? Thanks

The line is caped cus it venting into the atmo not recirculating. The skinny line is to the wastegate. The big line on the bottom is from the hotpipe/compressor. Intallation is real easy...took scott, cory and dre like 10 minutes for forge to install. Except on scotts car the cheap mazda plastic broke off.

Oh got a email from George...its a negative on the group buy becasue it would be unfair to the vendors. But no worry the price isnt that bad. He mentioned $150 but that price isnt firm till the kit is released. Which should be soon he says.

Heres the thread on forge BOV:

Maybe some of your questions can be answered in there.

the forged looks like a good deal if you're gonna keep the stock pipes!!! but if you get a fmic or hard pipes thats a different story, you'll have a wide variety cause you're gonna need a flange welded anyway :D -mike

Yeah I got to see if you can run both together. Forge BOV woosh and HKS SSQV together...but thats going to be further down the road. But nothing like 2 BOV going off and 2 diffrent sounds.
