For those of you who has BOV on Fmic on their car, how do you guys take your BOV off from your hardpipe when you have to take your car to the dealer for warrenty issue. will they void the car warrenty if they see a BOV in the car?? I'm in a market of an FMIC KIT and BOV.

well, if you have a FMIC, I don't think hiding the BOV is your biggest problem.

My dealer didn't care. I don't have an fmic, but a huge turbosmart & hardpipes. they were like, "nice pipes!" ... and took them off and back on to do tranny work. no big deal for them. but each dealer is different...

why would you want to remove the bov....
its purpose is to pretty much lenghten the life of turbo...if a dealer denys anyone warranty fixes because of a mere bov...heh that service manager needs to be hazed.

The dealer i went to which just said that gcottons tranny and diff arent covered because of his FMIC, turboxs BOV, and 3in exhaust arent covered didnt say a word to me about my hard pipes when I had it in for a power steering issue and the clunk fix.
Covered under warranty for both, althought the steering problem was just a bent splash guard.

so do you think putting a FMIC and BOV will they void the cars warrenty?

wow. I thought the warranty issue was beat to a blood pulp already.

Put it this way.. If you're worried about your warranty, you don't need to mod this car. Seriously. Very seriously.

not trying to be stupid with that comment, either. mazda *will* find out you were modded, trust me.

*waits for his car*

How does a bov extend the life of a turbo in a car that was tuned for a BPV? I agree that dealers are excessive about the voiding of a warranty considering I was told if I had ANY mod I would be denied warranty service but when you alter the cooling system of a car with a FMIC in the MSP you are actually creating a heat issue by partly blocking the radiator. I'm just not 100% sure where dealers should draw this line, but with a FMIC it's certainly done and gone and rightfully so.

you could try hiding the bov behind THE HUGE INTERCOOLER CORE...

Only in a perfect world....

Warranty issues all depend on the dealer. Some do some dont. I would personally suck up everytime you take your car in and try to hold conversations with them.. They are more likely to let it slide. If you come of as a cocky prick.....bye bye warranty

Yeah I took my car in last week for the rotors, clunk ,and radio and everyone was telling me how much they liked the exhaust I have. I was a little worried about it ,but they seemd really cool. They haven't said anything about the guages or TT, and to be honest I don't think they would, b.c everything on the car, well its not really harming anything else. So far my dealer is pretty cool which I'm happy about.

i think mazdaspeed should come out with s*** covered under warranty like neons have.. :( but no mazda makes us void them dmn warranties.. :) my dealership will have car towed to home so you can take the parts off and you tow it back to them (towing if blown engine like my friend had) for warranty repair! it is very good :) i like my dealership!

For the 1043983842148423th time... Dodge does NOT warranty performance modifications on any of their cars, even with the Mopar brand items.
