BOV install questions

im sure someone has posted something like this before & im not lookin hard enough, but should i just go ahead and have a shop install my BOV or is it pretty fairly simple to just do it myself. If so is there a thread out there to give intructions for a new-B. Also what pipping should i use w/ the install? Thanks for the help!

if i could get away w/ using my stock pipes i would do that, but other than that i have nothing.

Go with hardpipes. The stock pipes are too bad to effectively run a BOV. In fact, the stock pipes are too bad to do anything. Don't do it the cheap way, Go to **********.com and get the turbohoses hardpipes with a Greddy Type S or HKS SSQV BOV. The flange will be welded on already, and they will throw in the BOV, all for around $650, a very good investment, IMO. You will be very satisfied, and it is a lot easier than the route I took, buying the pipes, then the flange, then finding a plce to weld the flange, then buying the BOV. Do it right the first time, and you'll save yourself some headache down the road.

easy to do it yourself, i put mine on my stockpipes. just requires some stuff from home depot or lowes, i cant remember what is needed but do a search for "killing turkeys" i think

I'd be embarassed to pop my hood if I did that. Besides, the BOV sounds a lot better welded onto some hardpipes. Read the How To, they even mention that there.

lol shutup..well thats what happens when you dont get hardpipes, and it only fell off cuz i didnt tighten the clamp all the way u goof
