Bought The Tenzo Type-M

Hey winniep, Did you order your rims yet? G-dub said they weren't going to give him a 45mm offset. Do you know which ones you are being sent?

Yes these rims do look great. I wanted these on the bronze! Maybe I'll wait til you get your rims to really decide on which rims I want.

I like them...my only problem with this picture is the shape of the wheel. 95 percent of the time Tenzo posts pictures of their RWD wheels with a low offset. Basically your wheels arent going to look like the picture...close but not the same. Post pictures when you get them on I am interested in how they turn out.

+1. I bet your center hub wont be that deeply inset, which is what makes those spokes look so sexy.

I'm sure they'll still look pretty cool, but not exactly like the photo.

Yeah i realized that before i bought them, but i wasn't even sure if that curve made it look better or worse. I'll be happy either way probably.

Those look great! IDK if they have these exact Tenzos, but elementwheels.com charges $889.20 SHIPPED for most/all Tenzos.---I'm not saying this is cheaper, but it is another option.

That's who I order with as well. I called Wheelsnext but they recommended for me to have a low offset as well.

I wish i knew. It was a bit of a gamble ordering without knowing, but all of the tenzos i have seen are at least a pound lighter than stock wheels, thats all i'm looking for. I called wheelsnext today but apparently tenzo doesn't know because they don't have the wheels yet. According to the guy i talked to on the phone i will have my wheels in two weeks. As soon as i find out weight i'll post it up.

Wow thats awesome. I know that still seems heavy to some of you guys, but the rims i was looking at right before these were 22 pounds. Thanks for the info, thats a relief, i was afraid i just dropped a lot of money on a mod that would slow my car down.

I had a hard choice between the Tenzo Type M in machine silver and the Axis.. I went with the Axis because the Type M doesnt come in all silver or a hyperblack. I think black wheels on silver is to much but definately nice wheels bro if i had another color but silver.

Idk if you saw but winniep said they would be between 18 and 20 lbs most likely. I think bronze wheels can work well on red but not that particular shade. I'd go for the silver.

Get them 8.5 with 52mm offset. You will have the most badass wheel for the speed. 17 lbs 8.5 proper offset! FTW
I've been waiting to see these on a speed 3. (rockon)

thanks for the answers, seriously do u think that size 8.5 with 52mm would work for sure on our cars? and will the stock tires fit on 8.5's ? anyone with this set up yet? i was thinking of 7.5 with 50 offset.

Yes they will fit, the wheels on my car are 8.5 with 53 mm offset. You will need some wider tires to take advantage of the wider rim. Also it will be very tight between your wheel and the front struts.

I called tenzo and the rep said that the type-m is in the same family as the dc-5 and dc-6 so it should weigh about the same, he said those weigh 21.7. They get the shipment in on Thursday and said if i call back they can give me the exact weight.

Very nice man, very nice. A buddy of mine just orderd a set for is IS300, not sure what color combo. I think they are gonna look sick. Subbin for pics on the Speed3.
