Bought a 02 Protege5 today

You will enjoy the cargo/passenger space and handling of the P5.
My friends always call my P5 their "Best Friend car." Cause I live quite close to the airport so I have become the airport shuttle service for all my friends. Once I have 5 adults and 3 (2 large and 1 small) suit-cases on board and it took me 15mins to drive them to the airport.
When we first move to Seattle, my wife and I went to Ikea and bought 3 six foot book-shelfs, 1 futon sofa-bed, 1 coffee table, 1 TV/media enter stand, and 1 computer desk and took them all home in 1 trip. They were unassembled, but still quite amazing.

congrats on you P5....I too sold a 99 Solara V6 SLE for the 03 P5. I needed a 30mpg car for my commute to work and the Solara was just not the car for it. Also, I put in almost 100k on the Solara.

I had the 4cyl Solara so I was getting nearly the same MPG as the Mazda. Hard to say yet since the Solara had a 18.5 gal tank, Mazda is 15. Nice cars if you don't need to put anything large in them, very comfortable.
