This is my first post. I took the plunge and bought a P5. I have been in the market for a long time, and finally found the car I think is best bang for the buck. It is an Auto with 110,000 miles. It's got a pretty good belt squeal from hell. The ABS light and the red brake light are on. The front pads need replaced, but they arent less than 1/8". I'll do them tomorrow. The brake fluid looks good and is full. What triggers these lights if the pads are good, and the fluid it up and clean? I'll buy a Goodyear Gatorback belt and clean the pullies off really good tomorrow and hope that gets rid of that gnarly squeak.

There is a shop manual available on the forum that describes what the lights/combination of lights mean. I just got my P5 and have found the manual to be quite helpful, it is a big file and the server it is on is very slow so it will take you a while to download it.

Both my ABS and E-brake lights are also on now.
Couldn't figure it out also until I just gave up and had it code read...
Turns out its my LR ABS Sensor which I researched and seems quite common.

Is this a pain to install on my own? Do I have rip apart the back to get to the connectors?

My lights were out all day. I looked down at my gauges and they went out, and stayed out.... Hmmm now I'm confused!!!

Ok , this is whacky... Sometimes they are on when I start... Then other times they are on... Indicating a failure. What the hell is this? Sensor?

My ABS and brake lights are also on. Is there any way to find out for sure where the sensor is malfunctioning?

update..... my lights are out and staying out.... I knowsome ABS systems throw codes for cars that sit, as mine did while he was in school out of state. Now that I have had the battery unhooked a few times, and driving it, the lights have stayed out.... some systems "learn" by speed sensor averages.... not sure if thats what was going on or what.
