Bosal California

I just recieved my bosal exhaust today, like Linuix I wanted something loud and proud. I opened the box and it was the Bosal California edition. Damn, this sucks. I was in the middle of the instal, all excited because i have been waiting for this. I have heard everyone on this board talking about the federal edition and how its better because its the same price and eliminates one of the cats. Well now I do not know if they will exchange it or send me the extra peice, or I might even be screwed!!!!!!!!


Wish me luck and pray that they are nice enough to exchange it for me!!!!!!!!!

I am even willing to pay a little more!!!

i wonder if it would be ok to run and header with the california exhaust, that way you still have a 1 cat. and it wont be ungodly loud like my last car.

I do not know if he is just trying to throw this one at me or what but he said this one is louder than the federal one because the federal one adds the baffle, and the california one does not have the baffle.

I feel that the cat is way more constrictive than the baffle, and believe that the federal version is way louder. I have heard the federal on a 2.0 es and it sounded alot louder. Tell me if I am wrong. It migh of been broken in or something.

This is a very big hassel, because I will have to ship this big thing back and probably wait another two weeks.

I wish I would have gotton the damn federal!!!!!!!!!!

Jag..is your ride a 2002? if so....I am told that the federal won't fit...only the California will.....

I have a 2002 P-5.....and I have the California Bosal on it....its PLENTY loud.....and NICE AND LOW GROWEL.....I love it.

IF the federal has the baffel in it...it comes out really easy...it bolts in...in fact all you do is take off the tip, which is held on with like 8 allen head cap screws...and the baffal will slip out.....then put the tip back on.

The baffle I am taking about is in the piping, where your stock one was. The california got rid or it.

What you are talking about is the silencer.

I would keep the CA. If you ever get a header chances are it will get rid of the 1st cat that is on the stock header. If you have the federal you will have no cat and you will have to buy one and get it welded in.

My mess is all cleared up.

I have decided to keep the California edition, buy a high flow cat and the bosal header.
