2002 Protege ES
Got my car back from Wagner Motorsports today (upyours). Got a Mazdaspeed turbo conversion, including the side-mount IC so its totally sleeper. Included in the install is the MSP radiator/a/c condenser, exhaust mani, and turbo, custom t-6066 aluminum hardpipes, injen CAI, BEGI RRFPR, and some other goodies.

Car goes back Tuesday for full 3" exhaust, turbo timer, AEM wideband, and some dyno pulls :). Right now my MBC is set to stock boost but its creeping up to 8 psi..any idea why this is? Just because the larger diameter pipes are flowing more air?

Looks good, and your license plate should be ZZZZZZ

Every think of ceramic-coating your manifold?

What does you EGT Read on the highway at 65 MPH?

Not positive that I looked at it on the highway at all, as I was only on the highway for very little time today, but when I was cruising around on back roads in 3rd and 4th it would sometimes hover around 1200. Why do ya ask?

I got most of the parts from here on the forums, used from other members. Over the course of about a year I was able to collect them all.

if your curious mine is around 12-1300 at abt 65... around 85 on the freeway it jumps to 1300 ish......just thought you would like to know.

very nice es. i liked it when i had the stock front end....nobody knew what was going on when i beat them.......

In my opinion you should leave it as a sleeper and as a clean sedan, lower it more, get some nice 16x7 wheels with a low offset, good tire, and F@#k your car will be the s***.....

I was thinking I would get MSP springs (or something that lowers about 1") and paint the stock wheels black. Just have to figure out how to do the painting.

You gotta move those gauges, though. It gives up the surprise :D

Lol yea, I was tryin to save money here and there. The only other option would be to get Leadfoot's bezel and a steering wheel pod, which is a bit more. Couldn't do any DIN panels because I normally have my carputer screen in the other DIN.

niceness.. that's exactly what I plan on doing.
your car now is a definite improvement over the pics on your cardomain site.

Man its my twin and idol. so your using the block and head too fom the MSP or using you stock FS-DE engine. Looks nice and really clean, do a DGMOTORSPORTS Engine cover, be reallly sweet with the MS logo inside of the center.

Exactly what im tryin to do with my 01 ES, mines silver too!

Awesome man. I should have a supercharged sleeper Silver ES soon.
I'd go for Espelirs. I bought the MSP springs used but sold them b/c they don't work in the back very well.

Here are Espelirs. 1.4" all around (but I have a bunch of stuff in my trunk which has dropped the back a bit).

Espelirs have the perfect drop. The turn-in is perfect as well.
The springs feel just about stock all until you start turning.
I'm running the same set-up as SilverBulletES. (in the pic below too!)

Tire size makes a HUGE difference in appearance.
The pic below is with Espelirs with 205/40R17 tires.
