Boost issues, in need of msp guru's

Strange, I was geting a code lean before. And Everyone told me that that means my WGA is no good. But now that the new one is in i'm not getting fuelcut anymore...but not getting any boost really either. So if the problem is that the wastegate flap is stuck open, how do you fix it? Just take the turbine housing apart and see what is holding it open?
 
Hey maklin. I replaced my WGA as well and Im not getting anything over 2.7 psi at most. But mine is like that b/c I bent the bracket that the wastegate mounts on to, which made the bar coming from the actuator bind...be sure tht you didnt bind your bracket. Now I haveto yank the manifold off and bend that bracket back.... Sorry to jack your thread

Hey Maklin im having the same problem with my msp, did u ever figure out wat was wrong with it???? I can't figure it out either
 
OK, so i little while ago i was having fuel cut (felt like someone was jamming on my breaks when I was at WOT) So i figured it was the WGA. So i bought a new one (Forge adjustible WGA). So now I'm not getting the violent jerking i was before.....I drive it at WOT and i hear the turbo building boost but then it just drops off and disappears around 5k.

So what could it be? Could the actual wategate flap be jammed up? Could the new WGA be operating poorly? Cause it was a b**** to put in, I had to make it as short as possible to get it to fit. I don't really know what to do, Could it just simply be a vacume leak?

My mods are Magnaflow catback, upgraded SMIC, Injen CAI and the Forge WGA.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!!


You had to make the rod as short as possible? When you installed the turnbuckle onto the flapper post did it slip right on or did you have to pull the rod out a bit to get it to slip over?
 
im having the same problem.... but, ... i get nice boost in the morning when its cold, as soon as it warms up, i get the problem... my thought...... are we have a CAT problem?? i know on my XR4Ti i lost boost, and i took off the CAT and Bang!! full boost!!????
