Boost gauge install question

So I got a different boost gauge today(last one was a POS from the former owner) and am wondering why no matter where I adjust the MBC to I still read the same psi right now the gauge is hooked up to a vacuum line that runs from the top o the I take and is before the MBC. Just looking for some help on this so I dont over boost the car.

u should run it off a different vaccum source i have mine running off of the Bov line but am going to move it to a different source tonight, try to tap into on your bov it works fine on mine

WHat about the mbc? What should that run off of? I don't think the previous owner IATA led it right but I'm not sure

I ran my prosport off of my Bov line works perfect....
