I have the autometer ultralite mechanical boost gauge and greddy profec b-spec 2. I hooked up to these vacuum lines and neither one is reading boost, only vacuum. Please help!

Here is how i installed my wife's checkpoint boost gauge on her msp. go to prostreetonline and go to the how to section and scroll down to mazda and you'll see it. All though is a blitz boost gauge/turbo timer it'll give you what you need to correctly install you boost gauge and their is also an universal how to for a air/fuel ratio gauge too which i also used and my stuff has worked perfect

Thanks! I'll try it in the morning and let you know. and its an Autometer Ultralite 2 1/6" 30hg/30psi. It reads 15hg at idle but never goes past 0psi.

I did the same thing I bought a boost gauge and it was a pressure gauge and not a vacuum gauge it will not go to the boost side of the gauge

just to make sure, you are actually driving the car when you are trying to build boost and not just revving the engine when not moving, right? you won't build boost just by revving

Well I have a 3 gauge DIN panel under the radio and I had the gauges before I bought the greddy unit.

I have just my boost gauge hooked up, it started raining before I could hook up the greddy but it seems like it is working. I only read about 6lbs under heavy acceleration. When I am crusing it reads around 10in of vacuum.

I still need to figure out which lines to hook up for the boost controller.

Anybody? I have the boost gauges working but I still need help finding the right lines to hook up the boost controller!

*EDIT* I need to know where to runs the lines from the Greddy Valve Unit. I've seen some other posts on here but they are either unclear or me no understand!

It looks like you tapped into the wrong vacuum source.. The ones using those 2 solenoids on the passenger side of the intake manifold have 1 way check valves on them.

You'll need to tap into the line that runs to the throttle body, or you can tap into the line running to the manifold side of the fpr solenoid.

Let me know if that fixes it.

Instructions should show which nipples are for what... 1 goes to the wastegate, 1 goes to the vacuum/boost source. If theres a 3rd its probably for atmosphere.
