so ive decided that i need to get a boost controller soon, and i was just wondering what everyone else was using and what comes highly recommended!
k thanks let me know ;-)

turbosmart is the only way to go IMO !!no spikes and consistant boost. what more could you want ?!

lol sounds good, but is mbc the way to go or is electric easier? im new to the whole boost controller deal =P

electric is better but it is also $$$ ! just go MBC. it may take a little longer to get it dialed in just where you like it but once it is ...SET IT AND FORGET IT !!
i got mine set... 21psi all day long baby !!

that's a lot of boost.

i am also curious about boost controllers and contemplating getting one soon.
mbc installation seems like a pain in the ass. i'm going to look at installation of the ebc

mrlilguy has 1 and loves it. by the way did you see what the call it ?! them copy cat bastards !!

Plagiarism, or something like that. They should at least send you one to make peace, eh?

yo, straight up...that aem guage is exactly what i was contemplating. looks just like a boost gauge, reads like a boost guage AND allows me to control boost. sign me the **** UP!!!

every vendor is going to try and sell that with a wideband a/f guage. if i have a dashhawk with updated software, can i read the a/f from there as opposed to getting a wideband guage?

bump...
can i use the dashhawk to monitor my a/f?
is it as accurate as a wideband needle guage?

I have been using my dashhawk to read AFR and seem to be getting consistent readings, at least compared to what everyone else is getting. I am planning on getting a real boost and AFR as soon as I finish bolt ons and crank up the boost

I was going to purchase the Dashhawk and aem. But i do not think you can reduce the boost with this. As I want to do. I might be wrong . it will maintain all the boost that the external wastegate allows. i have heard this is more for running increased boost. I am new so talking out my ass on this. The stock k04 is what it is, quick response but is limited on the top end of rpms. I am still learning and no I would not run 21 lbs. It does not look like the little turbo really can do much with that much pressure. Still looking at the internals ability to survive increased flow and more boost. I will hang out a little bit longer before I feel comfortable throwing that much at her even though some say they do all day.

looking forward to your progress

manuals are universal for sure. I know there are universal ebcs.... but there may be vehicle specific ones available
