BOOM!!My MSP IS NO MORE!!!

if you were boosting 12psi on stock internals and a stock fuel system you deserve to pay for you mistake. NOT Mazda!!! You should have not posted this on a public forum.

Were you referring to me(ForceFed)or to bcbadboy:confused: Because my car let go and it was completely stock including boost levels!

ForceFed..No..I seen that you car was completely stock. And I think it should be fixed imediately. It jsut because of people like badboy that every situation like yours has to be investigated. I would not be suprised if they question you and say they will need to fully check out your car to look for modifications that could have harmed your car.

Badboy is just not using his head. First off the ms is not built for any boost. boost at 12psi with no upgraded fuel system is asking for a blown engine. So if his car blows up..he should pay. Not all of the innocent people who don't try to scam the manufacturese.

I am BCBADBOY, I am running around 10-11 psi and nothing serious has happened to my car. Maybee we just know how to drive a car so it won't blow up, or atleast maintain it

Psifactor you are wrong. MAZDA has done enough with the car to make it safe for our boost level's. didn't you hear me say it has a overboost protection fuel cut. You need to do some research or at least have some clue about what you are talking about before you make opinionated statements

psifactor, If I want to run 12 lbs of boost (im not at the moment) I will. Dont begrudge me because I will do what I want to my car. If I would blow my engine because I ran too much boost, I would not even try to claim it under warranty.

Besides the fact, that I would not even run 12 PSI without taking the proper precautions.

Basically, dont flame people because of thier mods, you truly souind like someone who is just talking from a basic knowldge from what he has read. MAny of us who are doing our mods know about "tuning" the car, and take the proper measures.

Thank you for your post, your opinion is appriciated, but Mazda can kiss my ass, as they WILL fix any warranty issue I have, as long as my mods did not cause the issue.

what he has read
1. its She.
2. I know how to tune..I drive 20 miles on a 12s car every day with a 14b.
3. Running higher boost levels without upgrading your fuel system is starving the engine makine it run harder, increasing your changes to "blow" up something. Along with what we all know is that starving the engine of fuel will cause it to run ALOT hotter.

4. If anyone knows what supporting mods are I do. turnning up the boost is not modifying a car.
MAZDA has done enough with the car to make it safe for our boost level's
5. Mazda did nothing to this car to make it safe for boost! Its the same engine as the protege es with a trubo kit on it. Nothing about this engine is safe for boost. Prove me wrong?

boostisgood, thanks for not taking advantage of people who dont screw up their car.

6. how you drive a car has nothing to do with how much boost you are running. If you are running 12 pounds and ALWAYS Floor it you will screw "something" up sooner than someone who pussie foots it around town.

Fuel cut is a BAD sign.

why dont you just do supporting mods? So its SAFE to run 12 psi.

If you look I was only flaming the person running 12 pounds(without any supporting mods)then saying that when he blew it up, he would claim it under warranty.

GEEZZZ If I blow up my engine, that's my problem. I'll just go out and buy a new one. Who said i will claim it on warrenty? They will know why even if I tried to do it. I can claim and say any s*** I want on a private or public forum. Thats what the forum is for. We are here to share info and help eachother out. Instead of talking s*** and flamming me, you should have just said that I need a bigger or better fuel pump or something. I work on my car with experts that have been working on cars for many years. Even turbo experts. I will not do anything to my car if I thought it would **** it up. I also would post anything I thought would **** someone else's car up. Thanx to those who back me up in this. Case close.

One thing to remember though. is that around 12 PSI in a T25, he is getting around the same amount of power that a T3 puts out at around 6-8 PSI. The T25 is alot less inefficient that the T3, and how many members do we have running 6+PSI on a T3? (BTW i'm aware of all the blown engines recently.) Even though Mazda did put the 10PSI fuel cut there for a reason...

Not to mention when a turbo passes its efficiency Zone of sorts it starts blowing incredibly hot air, Can you say KNOCK!

psifactor,
Mazda HAS done a few things to make the MSP able to handle boost. First, the computer itself has totally different fuel maps from the MP3 or P5 or sedan. Second, the timing set into the computer is advanced for the boost, not retarded like the mp3 to make power. Third, if there is a boost cut, then MAzda has pushed the engine to where it would blow, thus the safty factor of a boost cutoff. (People have had bad wastegates creating no way to bleed off the boost level. This will stop the issue of too much boost weather by the owner or faulty vacume/wastegate issue)

SO there is your proof that you are wrong about the engine not being safe for boost. Why would MAzda sell a car that they did not R&D to see if it can handle the boost, and be safly done?

As far as starving for fuel, my MSP is constanly rich no matter what PSI or throttle position I am running. This is at the 6.5 PSI from the factory. 8-9 PSI is a very safe level to run with no mods. As far as running 12 LBS, I personally would do some tuning of the fuel system, and fuel maps.

Again, not flaming, please dont take it that way. Im jsut sharing my knowledge, just as you are. :D

Got it a bit backwards. The MP3 had advanced timing the MSP is retarded.

boostisgood we were talking about the engine...not the ecu. Of course a turbo car would have to have a different ecu. but as far as engine..there is no difference. so you have no proof.

Hey I am sorry to hear that. Everyone on this forum are taking bets that my engine will blow before anyone here boosting 12 pounds. 1 word *WARRENTY*
sorry to missunderstand this statement. When you said Warrenty...it sure sounds like you would use the warrenty to fix you engine. just mentality of people using their warrenty over their own stupidity is wrong IMO.
I would not be boosting my mazdaspeed at 12psi without proper supporting mods.
Intake, exaust, BC, Fuel pump, larger injectors, AFPR, and ported turbine outlet. Now you can run 12psi all day long safely. but again....I would go and put je forged pistons, eagle rods, stainless steal valves 1mm oversized, titanuim valve spring retainers, duel valve springs, ceramic coating the piston and valve faces, 180,000psi rod bolts, main studs, medal head gasket and head studs, complete balance and blue printing. NOW you are ready for some Boost!!!!:)

It will make you think twice about claming stuff like this on a public forum.

We have a mazdadspeed sitting in the back right now with a rod through the block..because of too much boost. The ecu did not stop that.

I was refering the warrenty to him. He said he was stock so why woulden't warrenty cover him. I was not talking about myself. But since you work for a mzda dealer, you should know the warrenty policy. If something in my car breaks do to something faulty that came with car or something happens does not have anything to do with my mods, warrenty will cover it. Am I right?
