so my car is just shy of 40k and Ive decided not to get rid of it. I have been searching around to find a bolt on turbo capable of 350hp at the wheels but keep a reliable daily driver. any suggestions on a specific turbo kit.

the stock cat back seems to be good till around 300wheel.

if your looking for good daily-aility i would say a gt2871. not that you wanna be pushing 18+psi under 3k rpm's, but it would still have good spool up compared to a larger turbo.

BNR Turbos, made for the Speed6 with no boost creep like the GT but still has a GT core. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Stage 1 for stock RELIABLE replacement. Check out their website.

Or for your HP needs check their Stage 3.

I think the Stage 3 requires some mods.. I think referring to oil and coolant lines.. Because it does not say they bolt up for the stage 3 on the site

Stage 2 FTW! Stage 2 will Bolt right up and I sent them an email with some questions about the stage 2, the responce I got was that it WILL bolt right up and run just fine even on a car with no other mods and a stock tune

PS, it should also be good for 350 hp but just email them with what ever questions you have, they have great customer service

350 whp is a big investment. From what I have seen around the forums, a MS6 hit 320ish using a gt2871r at 18psi, external wastegate, tubular manifold, cat back exhaust, FMIC, standback with tune, and cp-e full control flash. With that kind of power, I personally wouldnt trust it as a daily driver unless you are reallllllly good at controlling yourself. Otherwise, start saving money for a new engine.

Either way, you can't just bolt on a turbo for 350 whp. There is going to need to be alot of tuning work

i agree 100% on this comment ....dont forget that your going to need a downpipe as well since that restricts a lot of exhaust airflow...

i agree with the few people here that bnr is the way to go with a turbo..i was looking into them a few months back and if anything i would go with a stage 2 ...its a simple bolt on...and since our cars are known for their smokey turbos...bnr has made sure that with his turbos you will never get smoke again....whats also nice is the bnr turbos bolt right up to the stock downpipe and turbo inlet....if you go with the atp turbos you have to buy an upgraded turbo inlet which is 3 inches i believe for around $300. there is nothing wrong with the atp turbos...its just that atp's are more geared toward the "serious" track/high horsepower freaks looking to upgrade their motors to get the full benefits of them. for something simple to install and for something more reliable go with bnr turbo's

Well I would like to mod my car but it seems that they are a pain in the A to mod without running into problems with the ecu which can lead to engine failure. I love my car and I love the power it comes with stock, I don't know if I should upgrade the turbo or just add bolt on part like exhaust and maybe a cobb AP. I dont have a smoking problem and ive had my car for 1.5 years and put 22k on it no problems, I am just basically trying to find the best route to get some reliable power.

our turbo will do just fine with creating a decent amount of power....try adding simple parts to the car...a turbo will run you about 1000-1200 through bnr....and the install isnt fun...if i had to do it i would have it professionally installed...and thats gonna cost a decent amount...in my opinion ...by just adding an intake and turbo inlet pipe....that will free up a decent amount of horsepower....along with getting the test pipe...average price for that will run about $400 +/- for all 3 items depending on where you get it from...and install is fairly simple...it will improve on the cars sound as well....and will free up around 20-30 whp with those mods...and you wont have to mess with the ecu or get a tuner like cobb or cpe

if you were going to go any further...like exhaust/downpipe/upgraded intercooler/fuel pump/turbo...then i would recommend getting the cobb or cpe tuner

look my experience with the cobb ap sucked at first....i have no experience with tuning my car or anything prior to it....i had at the time an intake/tip/bov/test pipe/upgraded tmic / upgraded spark plugs...and my car ran like s*** using those off the shelf maps...and i had to pay for an e-tune right after spending $700 for the cobb ap...so i dropped about $950 within a month of each other for the cobb ap to work right on my car...i dont regret it one bit now because i love it...but back then i almost wanted to go back to the stock map and return the cobb because my car ran perfectly fine before the cobb ap....remember every car is different when it comes to tuning...one map may work perfectly for one car...but not for another...the off the shelf maps for the cobb ap are great if you know, and feel comfortable adjusting the values of the map yourself.

in conclusion if you want to improve on horsepower maybe you should start slowly by adding a few parts here and there...it makes no sense for you to throw a new turbo on the car when your completely stock and your intake and exhaust airflow is so restricted...( unless your turbo is blown but your saying it doesn't smoke so it sounds fine)

goodluck to whatever you do in the future

To the guy above the Greddy turbo kit for the Atenza is not compaitable with the 4wd drive model. Its for the 4at only. Its not for the speed 6
