so my 02 lx has been my baby for a week now and effectionately named francis the golden gladiator. i have an SRI on the way and as soon as i pay for prom, ill be doing some elementary exhaust work... and i think fabrocating my SRI into a CAI.

but its time to make it look pretty... so whats a good body kit? and better yet, anyone have one they wanna sell me? i'm on a 20 hour a week at a grocery store budget. and it would be awesome if it was already the factory gold color... so i wouldnt have to paint it... but if i do its cool... it would give me a good reason to get a blue paint job.

I bet the gold color Protege would look really cool with the Protege5/MP3/MSP front bumper (see my signature).

I don't think I've seen it done before. You would need the Protege5/MP3/MSP sideskirts and the rear skirt off the MP3 or MSP for it to look normal, but yeah.. it would look pretty cool.

Welcome to the forums by the way. We've been getting a ton of new members lately, it's crazy!

so i guess the real question is... anyone wanna sell there old mp3 kit? preferably gold. i know u guys out the with ur mp3's just ahd to get aftermarket kits.... so ill take ur factory one! ha

You'd be surprised, very few people go to aftermarket kits. Who would when the factory one looks so good? :)

Oh and you aren't going to find one prepainted your color used. The MP3 only came in laser blue and yellow, and the MSP only came in orange, black, silver, titanium, blue, and yellow. The Protege5 only came in red, white, black, silver, laser blue, and midnight blue.

Check out this new vendor on the forums. He can order up any parts you need and they can be prepainted to the factory colors. http://www.msprotege.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=249

yeah mp3 kit does look good, i would have went with it, but i have the beautiful 99-00 front end.. so the erebuni kit will due, but i like it.. anyways, i would say check out www.erebuni.net or www.vis.com, wings west has good kits, but they are a division of VIS now.. so just go striaght to vis. other than that, they have a few more companies that make the kits.. not many..

Welcome to the forums.

Post a thread in "want to buy" section regarding the body kit. You'll get more responses there than here.

dude get the 03.5 msp front end with side skirts and rear lip i think it will look hot in gold... just make sure you get the msp/mp3 bumper so you dont have the mp5 reflector on it

Thanks

i think the only "good" body kit out there is the buddyblub 2 :(

maybe good looking, but not good quality. mintblue > all, too bad theres no nice sedan rear bumper to match...... that's what im on the hunt for (even tho my engine is about to blow so i dont even drive the protege anymore)

I have to agree. Minblue is awesome looking....at least the front, heh.
Well Im actually aiming for the OEM optional kit for the 2001+ sedan. Already have the front lip, just have to get rear lip (2003 MSP/2001 MP3 style) and side skirts.

I say go for the MP3/MSP look. I am planning on doing it as soon as I pay off some bills.
