You're right...I don't even remember what car we were sitting next to. duh!

After looking thru my pictures, the car on the other side of the 850 we parked next to was an E39 540. (The one up by the white fence)

IIRC, the E39's have a very very small hump to begin with for the driveshaft. My guess is that they did the same thing they did with our truck and just bring the floor of the passenger area up flush with the trunk level.

Your right. They just raised the bed up so their is no need for a tunnel.
