I was waiting for you to comment. Have you driven any of the newer BMWs? I can get over the styling because of the way they perform.

No I have not gotten to drive any of the current gen bimmers. But I have driven and ridden in several of the previous gen bimmers. BMW's have always had excellent driving dynamics. But unless you opted for the top of the line motors e.g: the 330i or 540i, they were usually underpowered when compared to their competition and rather pricey as well. But they were always so well balanced and handsome that it never mattered. But now I just cannot get plast the styling. Cars to my must be pleasing to the eye as well as fun to drive and balanced and I just can't get past the looks of the new bimmers especially the 3 series sedan and those hideous headlights and tailllights and the 7 series with it's bustle-butt (although they fixed that). The current Z4 hardtop and the 335i coupe really catch my eye though. But I'd take any Audi and some mercs over bmw styling wise. But sales of the 7 series are up despite is horrible redesign so what the heck do I know!

Maybe it'll take some time to grow on people, the early batch of e46's were just plain hideous.

The early e46s looked dated compared to the post facelift and e90/e91/e92 3ers. I think the e36s look better the the early e46 besides the coupes. BMW never updated the M3 coupe or convertible.

Decent engine by what means? this 3.0l has been in past wagons,

if you can point me to a model year in which BMW sold a 330 wagon here, i'd appreciate it. i've never heard of anything but a 325 wagon, in RWD and AWD forms.

im agree with you i love bmw but since the new 3 series i don't like them anymore just look the style of the audi A8 slin over the bimmer 7 series!! the rs4 over the M3 and the Q7 over the X5!!!
