Bluetooth/USB iPhone Sync Issues

I just started playing music via my iPhone 4s in my 2015 Mazda3 iGrandTouring. An issue I've been having is that when a song plays, a couple things aren't displayed properly. Album artwork isn't shown and only the duration of the song is shown, not the current playback time in the song. The car is new to me so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have an iPhone 6 with the latest, I believe 8.2.(x)? And it seems to work a bit better but prior to updating from 8.1 earlier, my day old Mazda 3 2015 i Grand Touring with infotainment was acting strange and bothering me. Bluetooth worked but via usb which I prefer for quality, the songs I chose via the mazda controller would not play, I would have to find my phone that I thought I was able to not touch the whole ride, and click play on the phone, and I was lucky if that worked.

Hope it's fixed but I am not sure. Also, I wish you were able to change more settings, like colors along the dash and such.

I have noticed a lot of complaints about people's 4s's not working tho ! something to do with having ios8 people seem to think.

I've had that problem with the album artwork not displaying after the latest update. I'm using an iPod touch via USB and it used to the artwork used to display. The weird thing is that when listening to a radio station that displays artwork it shows up. Another thing I noticed is that on the rare occasion when listening via the USB, artwork will on the rare occasion pop up.

I haven't encountered the song duration not showing up though.
