Take some time and read the stickys and other threads. I know for a fact at least one of the threads in this section alone can answer one of your two questions.

i would say exhaust is just a personal preference, people go with vibrant, corksport, custom, and other varieties. My choice was Corksport 80mm, and i love it. dont let it persuade you because it is pretty loud

dude just get a custom exhaust and have them weld whatever tip you want on there. bov will need hardpiping.

It won't NEED piping but it will run like s*** if you don't move the MAF. You can attach one to the stock location and plug the nipple on the intake. Sure your idle will drop at a stop, but otherwise i did not see any drawbacks while driving.

If you don't have the cash to buy quality parts and do the job right the first time, then I suggest you don't do it at all. The Corksport Power Series exhaust is a favorite amongst many here, as are the HKS SSQV and TurboXS RFL BOVs. In order to install any BOV and have it vent (go pssh) you will need hard pipes at least, or upgrade to a FMIC (recommended) and move the MAF after the BOV so you don't stall. Then you will also need an intake to replace the stock plastic garbage.

And if you do purchase and install all those parts, you will notice that you will get fuel cut every time you actually step on the gas because your engine is breathing much easier now and the ECU is adding waaay too much fuel, so you will then be looking for a piggyback EMS unit to take care of that. It's just the name of the game, cheap and performance don't mix.. not with these cars at least.. and one mod leads to another.

+ 1, you gotta pay to play. There are lots of more useful mods out there other than a BOV. I would stick to bolt ons since you are already thinking about the exhaust. A BOV should be towards the bottom of your list unless you want a better BPV or just "want that sound" or maybe trying to "kill the turkey"
