Just buy one from EBAY and want to know if anyone here used it ???
Is it hard to set ??? where you have locate in in the cabin ???

thanks !!!

I am using the SBC-iD right now. I also have the power meter but I can't calibrate it correctly. The SBC-iD boost controller takes some adjustments with the gain to get the true boost pressure you are aiming for. I am not a mechanic by any means and I feel my controller still needs fine touching. Let me know if you need any help and I will talk you through what I know.

Is it easy to switch between boost settings ??? like low or high boost ...
Want to have one set at 6.5psi and the other at 8.5psi. Do you use the automatic boost setting or the manual

thanks for your help (nana) !!!

There is a way to have a high boost and a low boost setup. I think it only takes one push of a button on the controller to activate it. I don't use it though like that. I tend to stay around stock boost because 8psi blows my hard pipes off. Also I only use the automatic setting. You set the boost you want and then you have to adjust the gain. When you have the gain too low it will not hit your set boost setting. When you set it too high it will produce a boost spike. The controller also has a form of protection by you being able to set a limit that you don't want to boost beyond. The screen actually turns red when you encounter your limit. Anyways good luck with your SBC-id, you won't regret your purchase.

I know this thread is kinda old but I feel bad for missing this question. Maybe this pic will help someone today with an idea of placement.

man that is a killer spot! I would have never thought about it...

I may use that spot too...

On another note for those of us who have this EBC. What are your settings. I have the following setting.

Boost 10psi
Gain 15

I read in the manual that it stated most actuator wastegated turbos have their gain settings set between 5 - 15

at 15 the turbo is very smooth and response is very quick and almost no spike and it hold the set boost like a rock!!!!

I have the SBC-id boost controller with the powermeter as well. is there anyway you guys can possibly list the major crucial settings so I can set them and test what will be the best combo??

I am not too familiar of what is the best setting or how to tune it to best fit my car, if you can help me it would be great.

I am now on 8 psi and 0 gains, I set it to 9 gains because the boost spike worries me... I don't know what is the best to do, what do you think?

and the powermeter reads very low number of 'power', is that happen to you guys too?

you have to set the gian greater than 0 the manual says to have gain set inbetween 5-15. I run my boost at 10psi gian 15 and 12psi gian 15 and I barely ever spike and the spike is very minor and then it drops to the set psi and holds like a rock. I also had good reactions with the gian set to 7, but since I was able to take it to a gain of 15 and still work fine, i did !!! with the gian set to 0 it's almost like your not boosting...

also it depends on how far you have your selinoid from the turbo. the farther your seliond is from the turbo the greater the boost spike will be . I have mine mounted on the battery holder it was mounted on the under side of the stock breahter bracket when I had my stock air box on , now i have a cold air intake and I mounted it on the side of the black plastic battery case ...
