man...i went around looking for a new car 'cause my miata was old. when i decided okae, this MSP will be okae because it's a turbo and possibilities are endless ! what the hell was i thinking ?! everywhere i turn there's something going wrong from people...if i do this, this'll happen and poof u're screwed (i.e. bov to atmosphere and u STALL mOFO !) i feel so jipped now 'cause everywhere i looked, i feel like i could've gotten something better (or @ least stayed w/ my miata and just fix it so it'll last me 5 more years). :wtf: now i'm stranded w/ this car !!! BLAH !!! it's like it's so limited. it has great handling (OKAY), but it'll get owned by ne thing that's not a CIVIC. i feel like if i spent the 19K that my dad's gonna invest in this car over the next 5 years into my MIATA, i would've came out one nice ass convertible richer. imagine that...'91 miata ready for the street/strip/drift course/back road/daily driving !

sorry for ranting so much...i just hate feeling so limited by this car (FWD just doesn't feel right; the engine will give someday; will be killed by a RSX w/ basic mods)

trade it in if you dont like it. thats the only advice you can give. you should have done a bit more homework and read what you were getting yourself into before dishing out the loot. but as far as restricted goes.. thats BS there are some issues but they are being resolved. and that car can be a real monster if you put some time and loot into it goodluck either way.

i went to the dealer twice before i got it. test drove it twice...like the time before i got my paintball gun, i stayed up late in the morning just reading up articles on this car and stuff...but i guess i'll have to deal w/ it because there's no way to really turn back on it right ? :o i just need some advice on where to go w/ this 'cause right now i'm stuck on a CAI and apexcivic's new cat-back system

well @ least i won't have to build a bridge to get over it...just walk right through. but yeah, u're right. NO SYMPATHY !!! :mad: someone help me out of this (mental) rut ! is there ne kind of way to express the MSP's abilities w/o having to resort to racing on the streets...BLEHH

i know, i know its so bad, because some other car is faster than you or something. its really , really harsh :( im so sad now, after thinking about your really horrible situation.
 
jeeze...sorry if i ever sounded like i was bitching about problems. i just need advice now. which mod did u do first on ur car dexter ? and which has been the most beneficial ?
 
Not just you in particular, but a lot of people seem like they are just really unhappy with there MSP, I can't understand this, what the hell are you guys doing wrong, are you confused about the whole three peddle thing?

But seriously now, I have had my car about 5months give or take and I love it. I have a couple mods into it, no major money, MBC, DIY CAI intake, gauges and a few other minor things, no flash though I enjoy 12psi just a little to much, I suggest you try it, or if you have the flash try 10psi, it's whole different car. Just a couple days ago I was playing with a Mustang GT, and let me tell ya when he tried to pull away from and then realized that the gap between us wasn't getting any bigger the look on his face was priceless. To think his V8, 2 door, RWD sports car just got paced by a I4, 4 door, FWD Sedan (did I mention it's bright yellow), boy would I be pissed if I were him. I say do some minor mods, pick on some mustangs, and enjoy what you have, besides it could always be worse you could own a honda...
 
eh.. i'll always love honda.

the msp was the best buy for me, but i was really really loving the new Si. k-series+boost = :)
 
DooD lay off the crack, learn how to tune a car, and your possibilities are endless. Its not about jsut slapping on a boost controller and exhaust, you gotta do it right bro.

As far as getting beat by an RSX with basic mods, I smoked an RSX-S with mad mods. (hondata ecu, headers, exhaust, cams, cam gears, intake, ect ect. ) :D
 
Gee...why didn't you purchase an SRT-4?

You could always wrap your MSP around a Pole if you REALLY want to get rid of it.
 
start paying for it yourself and you'll tend to like or care about it a bit more. (as is the case with many things in life...you should try it out)

Some of you guys are so ridiculous sometimes. I rarely visit this site because of comments like this. This board seems so immature compared to others that I visit.

What does it matter what car we drive, I love all cars, imports and domestics and I have been a loyal Honda owner since I was 17. When the MP3 came out I loved it and when SportCompact announced a "supercharged or turbo charged" big brother would be released in the next few years I knew that was the car I was waiting for.

I love the MazdaSpeed as I do my Honda.

Please don't let the stereotypical riceboys cloud your vision of Hondas because they truely are great performing and reliable cars which just happen to be inexpensive.

I really doubt that. :) From what speeds did you race? A Type-S with those mods will trap 105mph in the 13s and put down ~210+whp. With your mods you should be in low the 15s @ ~92-94mph.

Here is the DYNO of the same car, and mine. My car was STOCK at the time of this dyno. I have raced this guy several times, and beaten him all times. :D Mind you, im only running 8.5 psi, and k&N filter right now.

I jump him off the line, and keep his ass behind me. He will start walking my by the top of 3rd, but we are already at the 1320 mark. :D

(this is why I dont post kills, cause everyone knows everything about every car, just by what they read. Every car will react differently to mods, dont use MFR's numbers, or what you read off the net, cause its not always the right info.) :D
 
Ohhh, on top of that, I have hit 14.93 at 93 mph with JUST 10 lbs of boost, everything else stock. Your numbers are NOT accurate bro. :D (not trying to flame at all, just a discussion between msp bros)
 
Um, if you hate it so much why does your bio say "Biography: I love my Miata. That is all you need to know. Lovin' my new MSP !"

Plus your lucky your dad went out and bought you that car, stop complaing, get a job, and make you MSP the baddest, fastest most ber protege ever. If you have no car payment, insurnace payment, rent, or bills you will be able to make it better then any most cars out there.

If you want to do things right I suggest you upgrade the turbo, add a FMIC, boost controler, fuel managment, greddy cat back, new up and downpipes, jic magic coil-overs, awr or auto exe support bars. There is a lot of options for you to do.

If you thnk its too slow upgrade the engine first, if you dont like the handleing do suspension, if you dont like the looks (why did you buy the car?) change the wheels or add a body kit.
