i was thinking about putting some head and tail light covers on my car to black it out after i tint my windows this weekend what do u think about that do u think it will look good or just waste my time and money?????

I've been looking at the Lamin-x film which you can do on both, and it won't be a big thick chunk of plastic sticking over your lights, and you also won't have to mess around with baking, spraying, sanding, and clearcoating. I'm just not sure how well it works or how durable it is. I expect it's pretty tough. I was looking at the "tint" for the headlights to give a slightly darker look, but not cut out too much light, and either the same or the "gunsmoke" on the tails.

I also wanted to find out if anyone's used their precut fog light covers to see how they fit.

Not a huge fan here - windows are great but the car loses something with the tinted lights. It smoothes the lines too much and it just fades away.

I wanted to go films (i like the shiny look better, wont go too dark, and ability to remove if needed), but my budget is SUPER tight right now and I had a can of nightshades in the garage.....

And yes, I know my tip is dirty as sin, but I just washed and brillo padded the tip. Your welcome (chair)

just paint your headlight bezels. you get a "tinted" look and dont have to worry about the film yellowing, or reducing your light output.

as for the tails i had mine blacked out before, (well tinted) and it looked cool, but i didnt think it put out as much light during the day and that concerned me. so i just got 06 black tails instead of my 04 red ones.
