I washed and glazed my car last weekend It wasn't with the megiuars synth glaze/sealant though because I had to order it.. no stores here carried it. Can't wait to get back to new england!!

Yeah you just need a couple sockets and screwdrivers.. I'm sure we'll have enough of ze tools. I'll try to remember to bring my mechanics set, though it makes an incredible rattly racket when it's in my car for all those hours of driving

But yeah i mean if there is gonna be a couple of cars under the knife an extra set of tools won't hurt i suppose

I waxed mine like a week after I got it done (my hood). Maybe that's because it was baked after painting?

Seriously though...my paint needs an overhaul. First, there is some sap on the driver's door...dead center. I have no idea how it got there but I can't get it off. Second, there are a few chips that need filling. I'm great with car audio stuff but I don't have the finess to fill chips. Third, someone used my spoiler to rest a large box. It wasn't me...but who ever it was left some nice scuffs. GRRRR. And of course I'm sure Oleg will point out all the swirl marks and other gunk.

Chris, my PC will take care of those scuffs in a jiffy. You know the sound of a turbo at 20psi....that's the sound of my PC at full speed. Though I never take it that high on a car.

That's my shops recomendations. The car was baked, so thats not an issue.
I will tell you guys about my luck (or lack there of) at the meet.
I actually was also surprised about this long no wax period, but after talking to people in the detailing forum i realized that my shop's recommendations are valid

Now that said i could bring my porter cable and my arsenal of detaling stuff also, and work on someone else's car if need be.
