Black Coloured Wheels, Anyone?

Just do Plasti-Dip and you can go back if you don't like them.

Search the video on youtube, you will see, not permanent but seems to hold one at least a year.

If I'm going to the trouble of having my wheels/tires broken-down (then remounted and rebalanced), then I will have it done right by my local wheel refinishing shop.

@ Yellow72: Das gut bro, I like the black wheels on white body, and looks like a nice wide stance too.

Finally my CX-5 arrived. the optional wheels turned out to be pretty nice in combination with the liquid silver color.

Dokkie - Nice pic, the setup looks great. Are those 17" wheels?

Yes, 17 inch optional wheels. I like these better as THE original wheels since you can see THE brakes much better. THE wheels are original mazda wheels

It looks really good. Can we get them in the U.S.? I don't like the 17 inch that comes with the manual.

TireRack has about 70 choices for the CX-5 now.

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/results.jsp?&autoMake=Mazda&autoModel=CX-5&autoYear=2013&autoModClar=Grand+Touring+AWD&filterFinish=All&filterSize=All&filterBrand=All&filterSpecial=false&filterNew=All&filterWeight=All&sort=Brand

The View on Vehicle option like this, this, this, this, this and this are pretty good too. :)

Just wondering how they would affect the ride and MPG of the CX-5, I guess that would depend on the weight of the wheel.
It says it's for the GT AWD. Can we use it for the 6 speed manaual as well?

Hello from Germany, some pics of my black coloured 19" wheels .

did you install the LED DRLs or your dealer?
Is it Possible to get the instructions for DIY or is dealer only?
How much were they?
Do they take place of your DRLs In your headlights or do they run in conjunction with?
Are you running halogen or the bi-xenon headlights?

Yes, the oem wheels are interchangeble between all trims, so aftermarket wheels specified for one should also fit all others.

There was a previous suggestion to use Plasti- Dip and I love it. I've never had a Black on Black so I wanted to see how it looked before purchasing a new set of rims. I went the plasti-dip route and it looks great! Everyone asks me if they are aftermarket because I just purchased my CX-5 but it's amazing how easy it was to plasti-dip and how nice the rims actually look.

You can see this video on youtube and it helps in how to do it yourself.

Hope this helps!!

Looks good, but the pics are fuzzy. Where are you located? How long did it take you to plastidip all wheels?

Sorry bout pics, crappy phone pic. Located in Wisconsin, I did one side first to make sure I liked it then I did the other. Took me in total about 1 and a half hours to make sure one side looked good first...I baught 2 cans of Plasti-dip from Home Depot and used one can on each side. In total, 5 coats on each wheel per side.
