That 90* fitting is HAWT! I couldn't focus on it before due to that horrible color scheme. Glad you changed it, that curved piece would have bothered me too

Good googly moogly that is rusty... But your car is so clean? How does it rust up in there? Regardless, I'm sure she'll be good as new tomorrow.

easy Evan, the tank is open to the elements under the car and i drive my car and the car sits outside.. its not in a garage unless its being worked on..

So this isn't the section under the backseat? You dropped the fuel tank then?

need to get them rusty things made out of SS ;)

could, but the local guys here would want all my parts for ages and i would end up not being able to drive the car. plus i sandblasted and coated the rusty ring in POR15 so i should be good. Plus the car is getting rust proofed again once i have the tank cover back on.

I'm glad I live below the rust belt. I do feel your pain though, sorry it takes all that extra work just to protect your car against the elements :(

then I could sell a bunch of them lolz

That's awesome...and very true. Learning that right now, actually. Please tell me there's a shirt made!

And Biking, I went through the same ordeal when I swapped out my fuel pump. 200K miles and it had never even been opened. Was definitely a dirty experience.

yeah its defiantly not a clean job at all, now i need to wait on customs for the last parts to get here so i can finally fix this fuel issue.

Damn, still waiting on that gasket? I will say that you guys in Canada need to have a lot of dedication in order to maintain cars let alone an epic build like yours. If I had to deal with the extra cost of shipping and customs hold ups I would never get anything finished.

its not the waiting its the fact the assembly is $260 at a Canadian dealer and $70 for the same part in the US. the gasket is $13 less for me to buy it in the states then at my local dealer, so instead of shelling out crazy money I've decided i can wait the few extra days and have the extra money for the other things ill need eventually. If it was my everyday car i would still buy the parts in the US and find a drive to work.

while i wait for the fuel pump assembly and new injector orings it gives me time to reinstall the interior parts and build the other few pieces i need to finish before the car shows/cruises.

I'm in no real hurry since all the days i was taking off from work to visit people and go to shows in Ontario i now have to work out of province. Just was not meant to be this summer, ill just enjoy it all next summer.

A little off topic from the fuel pump, but which battery relocation kit did you use, JT? The link in your first post is broken to the pic and your album is private.

I gotta relocate the battery. It already just looks soooo much better without it in the bay. haha
