Bike Rack

Can anyone recommend a semi-inexpensive bike rack for the Mazda2? I was looking at Saris racks online, but someone mentioned they may damage the paint. I've never owned a bike rack, so I'm not too familiar with them.

Slightly off topic, but this thread made me think about it. Has anyone successfully stowed a full size bike inside the cabin with the rear seats folded down? I'm sure you'd have to take the front wheel off, but that's pretty normal. Just wondered if it is absolutely necessary to get a bike rack when hauling just one bike with this little 2.

Hey, man. I put my 55 cm road bike in the back all the time. You do have to take the front wheel off, but it fits without a problem.

I had to bring my mountain bike back from work today in my 2. I had to move the passenger seat all the way up with the seats folded down. I had to remove the front wheel and lower the seat post from my bike. It fit alright, a bit of a hassle so I think I'm going to get a rack. I do have a massive bike though, a medium Stumpjumper FSR 29er.

Look into Yakima or Thule. I have a Yakima racks on two of my trucks.

gonna install a yakima rack on my 2 tomorrow. Will post pics asap

got a thule instead. it works awesome. had to install a custom hitch though
