Can you link me? All I see is Rotora cross-drilled disc replacements in the OEM size. They aren't even the correct size for the MSP. Those don't constitute as a BBK...

I was about to say that too. Rotora does not have a big brake kit that I have seen for the Protege.

They have some serious brakes for other cars, but the current rotor is stock size replacement.

Big Brake Kit

Hey!

Yeah, we (Delsing Motorsport) are working on our kit. It utilizes 13' X 1.1 " thick directional vane rotors. We decided on the Willwod six piston calipers. Have the hats, brackets, and rotors done. May have pics before the end of the week. We will do a complete test comparison of stock to modified which will include temps and distances. I suspect an altering of the rear bias will be needed, but that remains to be seen. Should be awesome. Thanks

The surface area on the fronts are still bigger, even though the diameter of the rears is larger. If you look at the rear rotor there is a space between the part where the rotors are and where it connects to the wheel bearing.

According to Mazda's specification sheet, they are. I haven't taken mine off to verify this so I'm just going off that..

heh, i'm definately set on the www.rr-racing.com kit right now. its in a long list of mods though.

i'm interested in the details of the iON kit too though.

for me a BBK was mostly for looks. I think if its stopping power you are after a lot can be said for some new pads and xdrilled and/or slotted rotors


and if im going for looks, for that kinda money, it has to say stoptech or brembo or endless on it

brand names aside though, I looked into the ion kit a while back and it definitely sounded like a good, and very complete, deal
