Better Oil Filter At Dealer For Protege

I'd get the WIX one... I opted for the Mobil 1 Synthetic specific WRX filter, but it costs like 9 bucks... most people dont want to do that. I've been running WIX filters and synthetic for awhile now... thats what a lot of people do. I just am anal about the car so i opted for the bling bling filter.

WIX PN#: 51365 or 51334

will work... they have a different PN for the 02's and 03's but they are the same filter.

Does anyone know who makes the OEM filters for Mazda? Allied Signal(Fram)? Champion Laboratories(STP, Mobile1, Pennzoil)? Dana Corporation(Wix)? Some other company entirely?

update, i just went to the dealer yesterday and picked up a JEY0-14-302-9A. He said it changed again to that part number..

I think its a company called Tennex or something like that. I use Purolator Pure One filters.

For anyone interested, the Purolator PureOne part number for our cars is PL-14610. The Sears Auto Centers' sell 'em.
