Im no tire expert thats for dam sure...so far been looking for a tire that ofcourse has awesome dry traction..but pretty good wet traction for a wet washington weather too....so far the best one "I" have seen is the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 star spec..for 235/40/18 and ranks #1 on the tire rack site. Also right up there under 200 is Kumho Ecsta XS series as well. Any other suggestions? Also I desire some decent tread life if it can be found in high performance summer tire. Thannks guys

I've used the Kumho XS in that size, and it was a great tire for the money, but so far I think I'm even happier with the Nitto NT-05s I'm running now. They're quieter than the Kumhos, work a bit better in the rain, and seem to be wearing at least as well as the Kumhos so far (I've got about 2500 miles on them and plan to do my first rotation this weekend).

I've never had a set of Star Specs, but from what I hear/read they'd be a great option as well.

It's unfortunate that the Michelin Exalto PE2 is not made in a 18" fitment. This is a pretty solid tire that doesn't lag much (especially in wet handling) behind the Pilot-Sport A/S, and it's a lot cheaper too.

bfg kdw 2's(kwd i dont remember) had mine for 6 months before got rid of the car! never spun in 2nd when they were warm and dry. when heated got sticky! and i think they are 180 bucks! worth every penny
