Best Placement for backup camera on a 2012 Mazda5?

I bought the Mazda 5 a few months back from friends. They had used a bracket behind the license plate and the camera clashed with the hatch button and basically the camera is loose. This was on my list anyway.

I opted to get a camera the wires going through a mounting bolt on the back of it. Like this:

So basically trying to decide among three spots and wasn't sure if any one had experience.
The little indentation makes me think that may have been the planned spot but there is offset (I used to have a RAV4 with the rear tire so I got used to offset but it bugged people.
...or one of the other tow spots? I guess one way or another I will have to remove the panel but doing next to the latch might allow shimming later without removing the panel.

Suggestions?

I bought the kind built into a license plate frame and am happy with that. It doesn’t interfere with the latch.

I think if you could make the spot with the indent work that would look pretty clean!

I installed it closer to a handle, see picture attached.
Pro tip: get some plastic wedges that come with some cameras to adjust vertical angle. because you might end up with a camera looking too low. While you're at it, you might want to configure camera (by cutting some wire) to not display the parking lines, as nowadays all modern android units have configurable parking lines in their rear view software.
Be very careful when removing this plastic trim from the rear door, don't break the big white clip behind the central logo.

Thanks.
The camera did come with some wedges.
I noticed today before I started that the wire on the camera was going to be too short for where the original installer had located the connector.
I ordered a 3ft extension.
I'll check the manual to see if it offers up where the "big white clip" is or see if someone has videos or a pic.

I thought about the frame camera but the ones I saw didn't have a 4 pin connector. I could have rewired the new one to the head unit instead of the mirror monitor. I was going for more of a quick(er) fix.
