best motor mount?

I beg to differ. I was able to swap out the MM in under 15 minutes. The AWR literally looks stock.
any recommendation as to the best mount? i know a TON of people make them. the corkspork inserts are cheapest it seems.
also, i'm looking to make an upgrade in the near future - i've got an intake and will probably order a MM. which is best for the next bolt-on - forge DV or corksport midpipe?

Havent tried any other brands but I have the SU rear mount and it works like a charm. I can now shift quickly during WOT without having to worry about feathering the hell out of the clutch for a smooth engage. Also helps during routine driving. I dont know about you but sometimes I can't get a smooth shift if my life depended on it. Other times I can do anything with the clutch and shift perfectly. Its weird.
I say for the mount, you can't beat black inserts for $30 that look stock. Go for the intake as well.

Sounds like me when I first started, wanted everything easily swappable in case of warranty.... I'm pretty far gone now and looking into fuel pump and tuning to make all my s*** run right. Anyway, for a bit of sound and power, test pipe is a great easy and relatively inexpensive mod. If you want the "blow off" sound, which most of us do, the forge bypass is a favorite. I never liked the swords clashing sound, but to each his own. You could also run a hybrid valve for a bit more noise, or something like a greddy type-s in recirculate (as a bypass) for a distinctive sound.

I've been waiting to see more comments on the cpe mm. All I hear about is the SU mm. I too wanna get a mm in the near future and look forward to it because it sucks missing 3rd sometime in WOT
I would get the Forge BPV 1st. Some of the stock BPV's leak. You could be down a lb or 2 and not even know it. When I installed the forge I could not get over the difference in drivability, I must have had a leaky stocker. I use the blue spring with 2 shims in my Forge BPV.
I just got a SU test pipe and love it. The sound is good and there is a slight power gain, I have read 5-8 hp, seems about right.
Get the CS insert for now and if you continue to add power mods get a new mount. Get the inserts in black if you can, the blue stand out and the dealer might notice, but the black will be virtually invisable. They would have to look hard to notice. When installing the inserts or MM, do the 3 bolt removing method, its much easier than shifting the engine method.
You don't find any comments or reviews on the CPE mount because, literally, no one has one. Most people probably just gave up and went with the SU mount instead. I ordered my CPE mount since July and still no word on it yet.

PG has free shipping, CS does not. I have found that PG is cheaper if you figure in shipping.

Most of the mounts are equal really. The SU and TRZ are very similar in design and vibration. I have driven a speed3 with the inserts, the TRZ and mine with the AWR 88 Dur. The inserts are a lot less vibration but can still feel movement. The TRZ and AWR are very similar. You really need shifter bushings as well to finish off that feel for crisp shifting.
the BPV was a bigger gain than I originally thought. The DH was showing that I was hitting 18psi and then dropping to 11psi. Once the Forge was installed it is holding at 15psi. Big difference, you can definately feel 4 PSI. LOL... Well worth the $145. The dealership didnt even notice it, AT ALL! I got the black one. If they arent looking for it they wont see it.

sounds like the inserts are a mild and inexpensive solution - might be the place where i'll start and go with an entire mount replacement if need be. yet, if i need to swap the mount out, i'm guessing it would take less effort to swap entire mounts versus yanking out some bushings - my past experience is that working with bushings can be a PITA.
is the vibration of an su mount most noticeable at idle? i.e. is there a noticeable change in noise and/or vibration @ highway speeds? i put stiff bushings in the dogbone on my old car and experienced vibration at idle/low speeds but it faded as i went faster.

It takes more time to jack up the car than it does to unbolt the mount, as long as you don't mess around with trying to pry the engine out of the way and just undo the engine bracket. Much easier. With the mount in your hands it takes about 3 seconds to slip the inserts in. Then put the mount and bracket back and torque it all to spec.
There is a small but noticeable (to me, I have a sensitive tushie) increase in vibration at idle. It's really small and after a week or two you won't think about it. But the improvement in driving feel and shifting is dramatic.
The vibration increase was much less than when I put inserts into the front mount on my Eclipse, and the improvement in feel was much better.

I had the cs mm inserts in BLACK and they blend right in so you cannot tell they are there. They worked great, handled well, just a tiny bit too soft for me. I upgraded to the SU mm, which is a VERY GOOD piece. Tho there are some vibes, not many, and only seen when starting from a stopped position. Otherwise the su mm is pretty nice, a little harder than the mm inserts
