I love the Keyless Entry on my 2013 CX-5 (not Advanced Keyless Entry). I like to leave my key fob in my front pocket when locking/un-locking the car but sometimes I would accidentally hit the wrong button. No longer.
I've added a small "bubble" of hot melt glue on the 'lock' button. Now I can hit the correct button 100% of the time with the fob in my pocket (even wearing ski gloves).
This is the best 5 minute mod ever!
I first cleaned the 'lock' button with rubbing alcohol while my hot melt glue gun was warming up. Then I put a small dab of hot melt glue in the center of the button. After letting that cool for a few seconds I added a large blob that covered the small blob.
I've been using this mod for two weeks with no sign that the blob wants to become detached and now I am confident whether locking or unlocking the car.
