Cosmic Blue MS3
I'm finally ready to buy a set of these now but I am very undecided of where to order them from.
1) Where should I order HIDs from?
2) Who's the best for quality and price?
I have a cosmic blue.
3) 5,000k or 6,000k lights?
4) Replace Hi-Beams?
I want to replace the Fogs for sure but what do I need different from low beams.
5) What do I need to replace fogs and make them match the low beams?

1) The quality Vendors on the foums. :)
2) Cant help you here.
3) 4300 unless you really like the blue look.
4) No, that would be a waste of money, do fogs if you must.
5) I'd go with a nice yellow. Yellow fogs and HIDs (hump)

What color yellow? 3k?
I really like the blue look so would 5k be blue enough or is 6k like blue blue?

3000k=yellow
4000k=pure white
5000k=white with little blue hue
6000k=white with little purple hue
7000k=white with blue hue
8000=blue
10000 and up purple to pink...

oem hids are between 4000k-4500k...

dont forget you have projectors on the mazda 3,so really small housing,so more color reflection,so if you like blue but want to keep the light performance,i d say get 5000k...little blue,but very good light on the road...(eekdance)

I just got some 6000K from apexcone they were $99.00 from the RPM store they look really good i have a MS3 that came with stock HID's they were 4300K the 6000K is like what comes in BMW and Mercedes all the Euro cars.

I got my kit from protophile on the forums and he is great with customer service and i couldn't be more happy with the product i have received

www.mobileHID.com I bought a 6000k kit and loved it on my former tC. Now I have an '08 MS3 and have stock halogens... I miss the HIDs I would love to convert over to HIDs on my MS3 but $$$$ isnt there at the moment.

6000k doesn't have any purple in it... at least my apexcone set doesn't

I would go with 5000 or 6000, any more than that and you start to get too much color in the lights in my opinion.

Also I suspect some anal police departments probably would frown up on 8K+ you get really blue.

I attached my 6000k vs halogen that I took when I was changing mine.

RPM, one of the forum vendors has good prices on apexcone sets. Thats where I bought mine.

I don't think I would replace your high beams, it seems like a waste of money to me... unless you use your high beams a lot. For fogs all you need is to get a set of bulb type the MS3 uses for foglights.

Get ones with authentic Philips electronics and authentic Philips capsules ("bulbs"). They'll last longer, be colored better, and just look more factory.

My old car has a kit from XenonPros.com. They have a 4300k Philips kit that looks sweet, and is priced well.

I'd only go 6000k if you want something to stand out -- which can be good and bad, depending on whether or not your local law enforcement picks on people. 4300k is the most practical as it looks stock and throws out the most useable light. (all US cars are 4300k)
