Hey guys, I am new to this world (as I recently crossed over from V8 Mustangs) but I just wanted to say one thing about dealerships and warranties:
Your right to modify your vehicle is protected by federal law, or more specifically the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act which states that the dealer cannot void your vehicle warranty simply based on the presence of non-Mazda parts.
Of course this doesn't mean they will fix something that an aftermarket part caused to malfunction, but just because the mods are there doesn't mean they can take advantage of you! I am taking my MS6 in for the first time (since my ownership) next week to see if I can get my CEL issue corrected; and I am sure I will get the same B.S. about the presence of mods but I will fight tooth and nail to protect OUR rights since I am quite positive that my mods aren't causing the issue! (no)
