best credit card?

none, if you never want to build up credit...haha. ps, the intrest rate on my cc now is around 15 percent(only like 1500 limit), but i never have outstanding balances on it, ie. i buy something then pay it off asap before they tach on the intrest for the balance. I suggest this what you do when you get one, so try to get a low intrest rate if you can, but if you have no balace sitting on the card for months on end, you won't be paying any intrest...

Visa platinum.

I have been insanely good with my credit. I got my first card when I was 18 and I have been smart with it. Now I have a credit limit that my parents don't even get.

i wish i was good w/ my credit card. I just got done paying off over $4k on that thing. this was for the past few years. My limit went up to $5. I called and lowered it down to $500.
Right now my balance is $20 cuz my debit card is worn out.
Credit cards = bad news for some people (like me)

1)Any card that gives you what you want, personally my wife and I use a Citibank Platnium cashback card. If you never float the balance who cares what the interet rate is, just make sure it has no yearly fees.
Good comments you had, Greg.
I also use the Citibank Dividend Platinum cashback card. 1% cashback on everything, 5% cashback at supermarkets, drugstores and gas stations.

keeping below i think 30 percent difference of the outstanding balance and the max limit on your credit card helps your credit score, just something to think about when you do get one. pretty much everything else has been covered.
Yeah, you should keep 25-30% of your TOTAL credit spending power. So, add up all your credit from all your cards and don't go over 30% of that value each month. It's also bad to have no balance in your revolving (Credit) accounts - my credit score went up more than 10 points after I started using my CC more.

If you are asking about benefit, I have this Master Card from Shell that gives 5% rebate on all Shell gas purchase and 1% on all other purcahse.
Also this Sony Visa card that gives 1 point per dollar you spend and 3 points per dollar you spend on Sony product. Then you can use the points to redeem stuff that they offer from their web site. So far I have redeemed 4 movies tickets and watched Star Wars EP3 and Unleashed with my wife. Kind of nice to watch free movies.
