Best CAI ??

HAHAHAHA!!!! I once asked this question and man did i get ripped into also. Anyway I use the Injen but a lot of people will say that K&N is better. Then you have your ebay bitches and so forth. My take on things is that K&N is best mostly b/c you can go SRI or CAI with minimal amount of time. Injen works great for me but a lot of people complain that it wiggles back and forth while the K&N is very rigid. Also the Injen rubs against some brake line and starts to run a hole in the silicone elbow. So far as i know AEM only makes a SRI right now. eBay bitches will argue all that i just said. My take is that if you dont mind spending about 150+ get the Injen. If you are cheap get the ebay and hope for the best. If you want to spend extra get the K&N.

i had the injen cai, i had an issue with cel and had to take it in for "warranty" work.. had to remove the injen cai, witch was a b**** to get the air filter off cuz the installer who did it tightened that thing fith a fricken torque wrench or something... and then when i was reinstalling the stock one parts broke off etc. but thats a whole 'nother animal.

anyways, after, i went with the aem sri. i like it. and less worry if i ever have to swap it out again. i still have that injen cai... it's the "limited" (whatever!) black tubing. if anyone in socal wants it, you can have it. reeeeeal cheap if you pick it up. :D

hey captain krm...

it says on your site you carry the A'PEX Power Intake Filter for the protege.. but apex's website says the apps are for only the miata and rx-7....

It's an 80 mm universal filter. No specific car.

EDIT: I think the thing on Apexi's website is for full CAI kits, not just the filter. 80mm is the size of all filters for all CAI's as far as I know, so...

A torque wrench is a wrench with a meter built into the head to show you how much torque you're putting on a bolt. You're thinking about an impact wrench, air powered, or something else, but not a torque wrench.
