who makes the best replacment brake pads for the msp? and whats the difference between organic, ceramic, and semi metallic.

purists will tell you that mazda makes the best pads for the msp :) i would say an even number of people will argue for either hawk or ebc performance pads. in any event, i carry all three brands. as for the technical differences i'll leave those explanations to the experts :)

I just put on Posi Quiet... Those are a pretty decent street pad (which is all I wanted).

OE or Green, both worked great for me and the Greens are a little less dusty (OE weren't that dusty anyway). I've got Akebonos from Tirerack on the back, no problems there either. In spirited driving in the hills of Pittsburgh I have had no problems or fade, even while pulling a small 800lb trailed into WV hills... but I don't track or Auto-X.

i have the ebc greens and they are fantastic for the $. i may end up buying a set of yellows though to switch to for the track and then run greens for regular driving. greens still dont have the desired track stopping power and i've heard good things about yellows for tracks

I have the same ones, I just put them on this past weekend. These are the first ceramic pads I have ever used. so far they are being broken in, but the feeling is very nice. Nice stops after a very short warm up.

I got ebc yellows. a bit dusty but nice. Got to get thew going warm to really bite and they do. I live in warm weather so 45 minutes of standing on the brakes some of my backroads bring s them out. contact turfburn at nsn motorsport for a good deal.(drive)

so a more driver friendly alternative would be the EBC red which is what I have.

total of 6 sections at Infineon Raceway.... no fading or whatsoever.

Good stuff.
