I did? I guess I did with the corksport and hardpipes I got + 20whp since a stock msp ran 146 whp. Where would I find a Defi?

Whoops, sorry, I didn't even read your sig. I saw "stock" and just assumed your car was stock.
My Autometer Gauge works great, consistent readings ALL the time. Reads vaccuum right too.
No complaints here.
In fact i thought I read a few ppl complaining about their SW, and Defi gauges.
Perhaps if your gauge isn't working right, either it was installed wrong or you got a faulty gauge.
For the original poster, are you using the thin nylon tube they gave you or a better rubber vaccuum hose?

.. I'm 99% sure that the issue with my Autometer gauge lies with what 'model' it is. The gauge is a C2, and for every person I know that has one of the C2 boost gauges .. EVERYONE has a problem with it.
Rich (505zoom) and I have been talkin' about it for months, as we both have the same gauge with the same problems. It doesn't read vacuum, or if it does, not accurately -- we've both tried different vacuum sources with the same non-accurate results. The gauge also doesn't read boost right -- mine says that at WOT, I'm at 17psi for stock boost. THAT's a laugh.
Rich said that he's gonna rip his out and send it back to Autometer to see if they'll fix it -- and I'm gonna do the same as soon as I move to the beach for the summer, when I'll have the time to pull it out.

I am using the thin tube it came with. I haven't ripped my dash open to mess with it in a while. I'm assuming you're hinting at using a better tube. Maybe I'll try that.
the thin tube works well if its routed correctly and NO kinks. I was going to replace mine with the vac tubing a while ago but autometer told me not to cause the nylon line is hard and doesnt expand and if u use a softer line it can expand and give a false reading. thats waht they told me, just an FYI
I have two Autometer boost gauges in my turbo cars. Used the supplied line. Both are Utlra lite series. "Best" is a relative term. If you want a gauge that works, you cannot go wrong with this model. If you want to spend more, than get something else. I have put over 100,000 combined miles on both cars and have never had a problem with the gauges.

I just thought of something. My boost gauge line is hooked into the same tube that I "t'ed" into for my bov. Would that give me a false reading. I guess I could try to switch lines. There was only one vacuum hose that seemed logical off my intake manifold to hook into so I hooked both things up to it.
theres one that went to the bpv, and wastegate on the left top of mani, i used the one thats on the top right and is about 4" long and goes to some solenoid. my boost gauge is the only thing on the line and NO kinks.
u can try that. I dont know if BOV would cause false reading, i wouldnt imagine it would unless u have too many things on that one line and the vac is weak.
