Best boost gauge?

i just got a SW boost gauge and its not very accurate. the needle is sticky and it stays in vacuum when i boost in first gear.

Like I said before my bov hose and boost gauge are tee'd into the same vacuum line. I work next to a hardware store and ran over there and picked up a couple things. When I got home from work I tee'd my bov hose into a different vacuum line so my boost gauge is all by itself now. I went for a rip and my boost gauge rendered the same results as before so not the solution. I looked really closely at my boost gauge when revving in second gear it spiked to ~ 7.5 and then read right in between 6.5 and 7 psi when ripping throught the rpm's. Spiking aside it read at 7 psi in 3rd the whole time. But in fourth it read at a hair under 8 psi. Does anyone else have similar boost readings? This got me thinking. My car gained 20 hp over stock compared to a stock msp dynoed right after me on the same dyno. I know my corksport gives me about 13 whp according corksport.com The other 7 hp are from my hardpipes. Then I asked myself "why do I get ~ 7hp from my hardpipes?" Maybe because the hardpipes hold more boost compared to stock pipes which are flexible and expand. So brang myself to the conclusion that my car might be running .5 to 1 psi over stock because of my hardpipes. Am I wrong? Has anyone else had a different boost reading after installing hardpipes?

I tried my boost gauge (SW) in a couple of different places and you will get different depending where it is hooked up. Mine is hooked up off the brake booster now and the gauge reads very consistent.

Which hose is the brake booster? I'm hooked into the top right line going to some solenoid or something.

right now mines spikes to about 8 and settles at 6-6.5, stock boost. thats with catback, smic and hardpipes. not sure how it was stock because i didnt have a gauge back then
