im trying to find the best affordable good looking rims for my silver 3. Im either thinking of getting them in a dark grey or a slightly darker then the color of the car. Anyone have any suggestions

The most affordable rims are the ones you buy used ;)

Our Wheels/Rims/Tires marketplace would be a good place to check out, as would your local Craigslist section.

To get you started on some ideas, here is a thread dedicated to wheels people have put on their 2010 3's.

If you have the money to spend on new wheels, WheelDude has a full selection of Rota wheels to choose from in a variety of colors and styles that are pretty affordable. Also check out our other forum vendors as well.

Another thing to keep in mind, most often switching out wheels accentuates ride height and wheel gap if you are still on stock springs. Some OEM styles can be pulled off at stock height.

thanks im thinking about getting them rx8 18s they look amazing but waiting for someone to sell them is a pain

I say wait for someone selling the new MS3 wheels. They are a bit lighter than RX8's (not much. About 2lbs ea. 22 vs. 24lbs ea.) look like RX8 R3 wheels and are just classy as h*ll, imo.
Remember please that Mazdas are very sensitive to wheel weight. You will notice poorer handling and braking if you go too heavy, and a poorer ride if there is not enough sidewall in the tire.

I'm not a huge fan of the new body (not that I hate it,) especially the infamous front end/smilie face, but I do LOVE those wheels... and could get used to the rest if I had to.

i just bought my '10 ms3 about 2 weeks ago. sell you my wheels n tires lol

if these are the wheels he's thinking about selling, GET THEM!!! in terms of oem wheel desirability, they rank up there with the 1995 MX3 LE's BBS, 2005 MSMiata's Racing Hart and 2010 RX8 R3's shinkas. powder coat them a gunmetal gray like those in the first picture and be done with it!

Im not flaming you necessarily, but come on man. You obviously know how to use the internet or else you wouldnt of been able to post this thread. Now use your knowledge of the ever powerful interwebs and do your research. If and when you find a couple sets of wheels you love and cant decide between, then ask what the community thinks. But with a question like this you might as well be asking which intake, exhaust, EMS, piggy back, springs, etc are the best for the cheapest when there are already a thousand threads on it. On more active sights and more so Honda forums you would have been flamed and your thread locked almost immediatly. But maybe I am just used to the Honda world.

Rant Complete.
