Hey guys, I just bought a used Cobb Sri off somebody on these forums and just got it in. I noticed that one of the air straighteners is shaped more like an s. It looks warped and not straight like the other side(boom01). The side closest to the actual MAF sensor is fine. Anybody had experience with this? Bums me out that I saw this. I reset the ecu and have yet to drive it, so fingers crossed and hopefully I don't get any CEL's. Any input is welcome. Thanks

Man, everybody whacks off over this POS intake. I had this thing on for about a month, (came with the car) got what you got, plus a busted battery tray bracket, plus s*** driveability and an unholy racket. AEM goes on, no problems.

...at least it didn't throw any CELs or codes, I'll give it that.

cobb had a bad batch of bent up fins a while ago. it ***** things up, so you need to get it replaced. call up cobb, though, because i bet they'll hook you up with a new one.

if you don't want to wait for F**in thing forever to get a replacement, I would suggest you heat it up with a Hair Dryer and straighten the fin then cool it down with water. I did that when I got one of the first batches they sold, never had a issue with it no CEL no nothing and been in the car for 2 years now, Fuel trims hold nicely no erratic A/F at all, but they did after 5 months send me a replacement which is still in the box, cuz never had an issue with the original one after I heated and straightened.

Cool sounds good. Will do. I'm gonna wait and see if it hopefully is fine as is. Haven't got on it yet, but it definitely boosts way faster now which is awesome. I have a feeling it will be fine, but if not I'll to the hair dryer trick. Thanks. Nice to have someone else that has had the same problem.

I've had mine like this for almost two years. Doesn't seem to do any harm.

That said, if I were to do it all again, I would have bought the Corksport intake, but they didn't make one back then.
