Insurance went from 652$$ to 787$ in my new policy change that mind you is with 2 cars on the first a 1997 mercury sable to one car the speed3 . It went from a symbol "F" car to a symbol "N" car according to some people called ISO at ISO.com they said and the info was updated expect your prices to go up its coming ! (ghey)

This is not the first time I've read this. All the positive press about the Speed 3's performance is finally cathing up to the insurance companies.

One of the deciding factors in my decision to purchase an MS3 was that I did an online quote with my insurance company and the coverage was cheaper than other cars I was interested in. I will be very upset if my insurance company tries to stick it to me after I've been loyal to them for 12 years.

I read about it too and did'nt think they would do it to me....... but as soon as the policy renewal sure enough its there .(wedge)

I had geico in NJ with my mazda 3 sedan before getting the mazdaspeed 3, the regular mazda 3 was about $10 cheaper a month. Maybe it somehow slipped by with some people but I've had a higher rate with same coverages since I got it.

Recently I switched to Progressive and my monthly price is almost $20 less and the 6 month premium is about $200 less than Geico with all the same coverages.

Dont worry, insurance companies dont care about screwing the people that have been with them for a long time.
My parents have been with Allstate for like 24 years, never a wreck, a ticket, or anything. So they have a very good record. My car got stolen that was on their policy, full coverage. Its been like a month and a half and they still haven't even given us a quote of how much they'll pay for it.
They took the rental car away already too.. Not that it matters, I got the mazdaspeed3, but they shouldnt be allowed to do that.
Another thing, they gave us a lot of trouble about adding the mazdaspeed3 to the insurance plan because they said we had too many cars... They wouldnt let us take the integra that got stolen off the insurance plan because if we did they would say it wasn't covered and wouldn't pay out on it.

But the full coverage on the ms3 was cheaper than the integra, but I'm sure that will probabyl change.

$787 /month? consider yourself lucky. In MA, there is a pricing floor on auto insurance. Big Names like Geico, Progressive, Esurance, etc., dont exist here. I have the good driver/clean record bonus, plus a 10% discount because the Primier is part of Citigroup (the company I work for) and it's still $1452 /month.

I did talk to the ins and they said for some reason the MS3 rates went UP.

Yeah its for 6 months but it still went up 130$ per six months total and that is minus the second car that I gave to my mom the merc sable .

Gieco has to pay both the lizard and caveman, so don't go looking for a discount from them. Seriously though do your self a favor and shop around. You can use www.insweb.com or a similar site to let companies offer a quote. Or you can call an Agent directly for a quote.

As its been said many times in threads like this, its pointless to compare premiums as each driver will be judged by their own credit history, driving record, age, garaging zip code, use of the vehicle, and policy limits/deductibles selected.

Claims service is important too, especially when you have one. Sometimes the lowest premium company will not have the best claims service. Deny, Delay, Defend is a common axiom with some companies these days. So research the company before you buy any policy. Choose a company that is financially sound also.

So, just got my paperwork and cards for the next 6 months and my bill went DOWN $2 a month. It went from $84 to $82 a month.

I am insured with State Farm.

I just got my 08 MS3 a week ago; my insurance went up $160 for the year, thats $780 for the year...
I'm cool with that, I was thinking it was going to be in the $1000 for the year.
