ive been looking through magazines and papers lately and ive come through some good prices on some of the cars i like($15-$16000) i want to get some honest opinions on what u think of the cars and which one would best suit me for daily driving and having a little fun with(mods), oh and all these cars are used and have very low miles on em, these cars are 2003+, i came up on a Focus SVT,Civic Ex,Mazda6i,Mazda3s, Mini Cooper(non S),Camaro z28 or SS. thanx

Civic = Everyone and there brother has one + bland styling + mediocre performance....in short, it's plain like flannel.

I'm a lil' skeptical of a 2003 Camaro (Did the even make '03 Camaros?) with low mileage for 16K.

I really like the Cooper, but the non S has an uber small engine.

Both the Mazdas are good cars. I'd be careful with the 3 being a first year model and having some issues. The 6i can be goofy looking if you don't get the sport package or whatever it is that makes it look like an S model.

I really like the SVT Focus. I think it's a great looking car, good power and sweet six speed. AND IT'S A 3 DOOR HATCH!!!! Just be careful it's not some high schoolers who beat the s*** out of it.

The SVT Focus is a sweet car, but, from what I've read, notoriously difficult to tune and mod. It's a great package right out of the box, so I say go for it.

Mini handles like a dream, but without the better engine, is a little wheezy.

Get mini they have the highest resel value of all the cars u listed + they are reliable if they are not super charged and they handle great. If you want to mod it get the copper works super charger and u'll be around 190 hp on a light as hell car. Make sure u don't get teh continuiously variering transmission (CVT) they suck ass. They have engineered fake shift point which totally defeats the purpose of the CVT....

My second choice would be camero if u don't mind taking it to the shop once a year for fixing some small ass problem that cost you like 200 dollars to repair. Engine is great and solid but everything else ******* breaks.

The honda's are some of the most stolen cars as well- Camaro's have good performance, but I still am not fond of the interior, although they have gotten a bit better in recent years. Ford focus... ugly and spartan- too boy racer- go for the 6s- looks great, mazda suspension, and very nice interior.

Camaro Z28 or SS for around 15k to 16K? That doesn't sound right. Anyways if you can get one of these for that price I would grab it. Performance parts are unlimited for these cars and have big gains in performance. You can not beat displacement. Sorry!

I found LS1 year Z28's from 9,500-13,000. For an SS it will be alot more. I love LS1's, even though the rear end is weak and the tranny kinda sucks. Nothing beats 320 trq...

i was going for the 6i not the 6s, wow dang i noticed insurance is gonna be a problem, with one of the cars would have the lowest insurance cost?(sedans of course)

Insurance will be not be cheaper on anything that is two doors, has a v6, or has been wrecked by dumbass people racing them. - Call your insurance company, but if you haven't had a car before, expect to pay a lot unless you get it put on with your parents insurance.

The SVT wasn't designed for aftermarket mods. Agree with Pretzellogic on this. You'd be better off with the Focus ZX3 and adding to it. And if you do, change the headlights, please! The stock ones look like s***.

If modding's what you're looking for, go with the Civic. Don't like it myself but parts are easy to find and cheap....shity too! (notcool)

Camaro? Umm......no! (pukey)

I'd buy the SVT over the ZX3, we all like to talk like we're going to get big turbo kits etc, but it just doesn't happen for most of us. An SVT with some simple bolt ons would be fun.

Camaros may be big, but run low 13's bone stock :)

You're right about the SVT. I'd go for that too, WAY before a ZX3. But if modding's what he's looking for, then ZX3 has more options.

And for the camaro, my sister used to have one and she burnt more fuel per week than I did in a month. Ain't worth it. Plus they cost a fortune in insurance.

27 mpg, insurance was $1080 for six months, although it will probably be much higher for some folks.
