BC Sports Coilover - Set-up Question

I am wondering what the safest depth would be for threading in the shock housing into the sleeve for the wheel spindle. The reason I ask is that I may have to raise (yes you read it right) the ride height to help with clearances for the 245/45-16 V710's.
They arrived from BC Sports with 118mm (4.25") threaded into the rear sleeve. To lower the car you would increase this amount. What would be a safe minimum amount? I don't plan on raising the ride height several inches but I'm just wondering what would be the safest minimum.

On a side note, I prepped the coils yesterday with a coating of T-9 on the threaded sleeves. I don't want to run into any grief down the road with trying to adjust seized lock rings.

Still looking for some input on my original question tho'.

Well the instructions are poorly translated but after rereading them and putting two and two together I think that what they are saying is that there should be no less than 80 mm threaded into the sleeve...
